Great Backpack

Overall a great backpack, good materials and spacious pockets without it being too bulky. I like that the laptop sleeve at the back doesn’t reach all the way to the bottom so it doesn’t hit on the floor, although a separate waterproof compartment at the back with a separate zip would be far better. I also wish it was water proof or at least resistant, especially for the price. Again overall it’s a great backpack for school and daily commutes, although it is pricy for what you get.

Best Xmas gift ever!

Got this for my boyfriend for Xmas. His face lit up like a little kid when he saw the red coloring. The look on his face was priceless.

Not buying this again

My kid uses this for school. Not even 1 month of using the bag and the lining has ripped. I'm disappointed in the poor quality of this $75 school bag (it's the 'Right Pack', in style JS0A4QVA).

Ordered for a Christmas present. Went to open it and there are brown stains all over the front. So disappointing.

Jansport or nothing!!

Every day use. My last Jansport backpack lasted about 20 years - every day use and world traveler. I would never buy another brand. Thank you for your company commitment to make a great product.

Disappointing customer-service experience.

After only two light-duty trips with my Right Pack, I discovered a small tear adjacent to one of the seams running along the back. As it seemed to be in a vulnerable spot (close to the seam), I decided to reach out to Jansport warranty service via email about getting it repaired or replaced. I sent them two photographs of the backpack, clearly showing the tear. They asked me to complete the warranty return form and send it in with my backpack at my expense, which I did. Roughly 12 days after shipping my backpack to Jansport, I received a package. I opened it to find my original backpack --not repaired-- with a letter explaining that the damage was a "slice/cut" and is therefore not covered by their warranty. While the nature of the damage to my backpack may be debatable, what upset me most was that Jansport could have simply looked at the photographs I provided to determine whether or not they were going to repair or replace it. Instead, they made it more difficulty and costly for all parties involved --me and Jansport-- by asking me to ship it first. Instead of possibly producing a lifelong Jansport customer who would refer others to the brand, they lost one. Again, this could have been easily avoided.
