This is a 'second round' buy. We purchased this backpack for high school, and now are re-purchasing it for a round at college. Great backpack!

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter for her backpack. It's been less than 4 weeks of school and it is literally falling apart at the seams. My daughter is so upset, she loves the pattern and waited all summer for it. The bottle holder has completely torn and the inside laptop pocket has ripped opened. The picture included was taken of the pocket, and by the next day, it was ripped all the way across. The lifetime warranty is a joke too. I'm supposed to ship this dud back at my cost, wait up to 6 weeks for a repair, or give me a gift card to purchase another and wait for it to arrive. So my daughter is supposed to wait 2 months for a backpack, how is that supposed to work? I will return this to the store I bought it from and get a refund to purchase something that won't fall apart. I really expected better quality and service from this brand.

Love the backpack however after 2 weeks of HS the water bottle side pocket started fraying and ripping away from backpack. New one sent but really hopeful it doesn't happen again bc my daughter loves this backpack otherwise

I bought this for my son and the fake leather got a tear in it after the second week and he has been taking care of it. Apparently I should have gone with the smaller bag that had real leather. Jansport is the only brand bag I've owned for 25 years and I'm wondering if we should change that. They are too expensive to tear and it looks cheap. I feel bad he has to carry it around like that.

I bought the "Cool Student Large capacity Backpack" for my daughter in advance of her med school start date,because she loved the loden frost color and wanted to make sure she got one. She took the bag with her to med school out of the country and the strap broke on her first day of classes. My daughter still has Jansport Backpacks from high school that are in one piece and still usable. Unfortunately this one was poorly constructed and she is currently using a regular tote bag now since she can't return/replace until she comes home for Christmas. I have a feeling that the construction of these backpacks are no longer the same. Very unhappy.

Wanted a nice, durable pack as this mom was going back to school. Lots of pockets/organization space and looks professional. However, Literally the first use while putting an empty folder in the slot of the largest zippered area, the seam ripped like paper. I mean i guess the pack is still usable, but now has an awful looking rip in the main pocket. Which is dissapointing considering the cost. And the warranty means I have to pay to ship it back. Seems like this is an issue with other folks too. Not sure if all jansports are now like this, as they used to hold up forever.

The back design, colors, and style are beautiful. My daughter loves it and is excited about wearing it on her first day.
