Laptop sleeve?

Bought it for the laptop pocket as advertised but it might as well not even be there. It's just a single piece of nylon separating the stuff in my bag from my 1000 dollar laptop no extra padding or protection. Completely useless. Only reason I didn't give it 1 star is because the backpack itself is good normal jansport quality.

sturdy bag big the laptop pocket stinks

I got this backpack 4 years ago and it's done pretty well holding all my school supplies (binders, notebooks, laptop). The only issue I have with it is that the laptop pocket tore about a year and a half in. I can't afford a new backpack at the moment so I'm stuck with the broken laptop pocket. It really just stinks because that's the whole reason I got the bag: reasonable price, good design, but most importantly it had a laptop pocket. Disappointed in the quality of the pocket
